Component 01
Enhancing Information Services For Climate Change Adaptation In The Water And Agriculture Sectors.
The project has three main components: developing a Water Accounting System, establishing an Evapotranspiration-based Water Management System, and improving information services through an Agri-Climate-Water (ACWA) Information Portal. These efforts aim to enhance water management, reduce vulnerabilities, and provide vital information for sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.
Component 02:
Building On-Farm Resilience To Climate Change.
This phase focuses on building on-farm resilience to climate change. It includes improving climate-resilient practices through training materials, demonstration plots, and a practice repository. Staff and trainers are trained in Climate-Resilient Agriculture (CRA) and On-Farm Water Management (OFWM). Farmers are empowered through Climate and Business Field Schools, Women Open Schools, and training on partner demonstration plots, all supplemented by field days. These efforts aim to enhance agricultural resilience in the face of climate change.
Component 03
Creating An Enabling Environment For Continued Transformation
Component aims to create an enabling environment for ongoing transformation. It involves multimedia information campaigns, policy support for climate-resilient agriculture, and the development of farmer-friendly services, including access to financial resources and climate information for improved resilience.
Component 04
Project Management & Maintenance
Project management activities encompass planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation, among others. They serve as the bedrock for ensuring that all investments and endeavors are efficiently and effectively carried out to achieve the project’s overarching objectives.
